Who I am
Hi, I’m Pastor Valerie.
Many know me as PV. I’m a wife, mother, co-pastor of Gospel Mind Christian Church in Calgary, and a Kingdom Marriage & Relationship Mentor. My husband, Pastor Erons, and I have shared more than 19 years of marriage and over 22 years of friendship. That journey has deepened my conviction that a strong marriage is not built by chance; it is nurtured through faith, friendship, honest communication and intentional care.
My heart is for people on both sides of “I do.” I help singles, those dating or engaged seek clarity and prepare wisely, while walking alongside married individuals and couples as they strengthen connection through life’s changing seasons. Through biblical teaching, mentorship, prayer and honest conversation, I make room for practical questions and meaningful next steps.
My journey
I loved love. I had to learn what it takes to build well.
Even when I was young, I was fascinated by relationships and wanted to build a happy home. I loved the idea of being in love. I also knew what it was like to fall in love and out of love without the clarity to recognize a healthy relationship, understand someone’s intentions or know where it was going.
My faith in God has always shaped the way I think about love. Before marriage, I was intentional about marrying someone who loved, feared and honoured God. I first crossed paths with Pastor Erons around 2000 or 2001; we began talking in 2004 and became a couple shortly afterward. Together, we have learned that love needs more than a feeling. It calls for faith, friendship, communication and the choice to keep building.
Our journey has included highs and lows. I share from it because the lessons we have lived can help others ask better questions, navigate their own seasons and build with greater intention.
How it began
Why Marital Bliss with PV exists
As I listened to singles and couples, I saw how often people were trying to make relationship decisions without enough clarity or support. Some were preparing for marriage without understanding the work of building one. Others were married but needed room to talk honestly, reconnect and strengthen their bond.
I believe God placed this vision on my heart: to help people build healthy, Christ-centred relationships and help marriages grow in love, unity and intimacy. Marital Bliss with PV grew from that calling and from our desire to share biblical truth in a way people can use in real life.
